I'm not much of a blogger. I'm never sure what to write, and I never think people will actually care about what I'm writing. But, Etsy Success always reminds me of the importance of blogging. So I will be a good little girl and blog!
I don't know about anyone else, but I've got a severe case of Olympic Fever! The channel on the TV hasn't been changed since the Opening Ceremonies this past Friday. I've watched re-runs of events and segments over and over again. I have been constantly checking the CTV Olympics app on my iPhone for updates on events that aren't being shown while others are. I can't tear myself away from the TV. I've got my computer in my office playing the live feed so I can make cards and watch the Olympics at the same time!
I don't know what it is, but the Olympics light this intense patriotic fire in my heart. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty plum proud to be Canadian! But something about the Olympics brings out the flag-waving, red-mitten-wearing Canuck in me. I have every intention of stopping teaching (my full time job) to play the live feed in class for my students. Why not? Why not instill in my students a sense of pride for their country? A sense of patriotism? Thankfully, the principa is in full support of this. He's also in full support of his staff wearing Olympic gear during the Olympics. Man! Am I ever pumped to wear my Team Canada hoodie and all of my other gear.
So whatever country you are cheering for, may you cheer loud, cheer long, and cheer often!
